Well, well, well... I believe in miracles. Long time REPUBLICAN and former Secretary of State Colin Powell recently endorsed Barack Obama as his candidate of choice on October 2oth.
"Why would a Republican do such a thing?" You ask..
Let's just say, even though he's a conservative, he still knows what's best for the country at this point in time.
"I think he is a transformational figure, he is a new generation coming onto the world stage, onto the American stage, and for that reason I'll be voting for Sen. Barack Obama," Powell said on NBC's "Meet the Press."
He also added that he knows his decision will disappoint fellow Republican Senator John McCain, but he feels that Senator Obama is simply the best choice for the Nation and the Economy.
Looks like we'll be seeing some more Republicans reach across the isle and endorse the Obama/Biden ticket afterall...
Other than that, I early voted today!
...voting democrat is a great feeling :)
